IF YOU DIED TODAY WOULD YOU BE IN HEAVEN OR HELL?

Hebrews 9:27 says:
“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:”

The Bible tells us that God loves us and has a perfect plan for our lives. However, our sin has separated us from Him. Here is how you can know, according to the Word of God, that you will go to heaven.

1. Acknowledge Your Condition

The first step in salvation is realizing that we are all sinners and cannot save ourselves. No matter how "good" we try to be, we fall short of God's holy standard.

Romans 3:10 — "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:"

Romans 3:23 — "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

2. Understand the Penalty

Because God is holy and just, He must punish sin. The "wages" or payment for our sin is spiritual death, which is eternal separation from God, in a place called hell.

Romans 6:23a — "For the wages of sin is death..."

3. Believe in God’s Provision

The good news is that God provided a way for us to be forgiven. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the debt we owed by dying on the cross and rising again.

Romans 5:8 — "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

John 3:16 — "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

4. Accept the Gift by Faith

Salvation is a gift; it is not something we can earn through good works, church membership, or baptism. It is received through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

Ephesians 2:8-9 — "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."

5. Your Personal Response

To be saved, you must believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, trusting in His finished work for your salvation.

Romans 10:9 — "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

Romans 10:13 — "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

A Simple Prayer of Faith

If you are ready to trust Jesus Christ as your Savior, you can tell Him so in a simple prayer like this:

"Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner and I deserve to be separated from You. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and rose again from the grave. Right now, I turn from my sin and put my trust in Jesus alone to save me. Thank You for the gift of eternal life. Amen."
